About the artist

Stiltz paints wine, liquor, fruit, cheese, and flowers as polished still lifes, using unusual viewpoints, tight cropping, and reflections to shape each arrangement. Dramatic light and shadow bring depth to the rich colors and carefully observed surfaces.

His photographic eye for composition meets a layered oil-glaze process and deep backgrounds. The resulting images feel tactile and precise, with everyday objects arranged into theatrical studies of color, light, and form.
