About the artist
Michael Kachan creates lively figurative scenes centered on musicians, couples and dreamers. The mood is festive, with saturated color and stylized forms that suggest influences from modern and folk traditions.
He works mainly in acrylic on canvas, building the surface with pronounced textures and pigment overlays. His print editions echo that dimensional quality through hand embellishment, layered inks and glazes.
