About the artist

Keith Haring developed a graphic language of emphatic lines, simplified figures and repeated symbols. His images draw on drawing, comics and street culture, and often suggest movement through radiating marks and lively poses.

He worked across drawing, painting, printmaking, murals and public projects. The directness of his line helped his imagery move between subway drawings, galleries and large-scale community settings.
