Banksy

Banksy is a pseudonymous street artist whose work is designed for public settings. Stenciled figures and symbols, often in a limited palette, create quick visual contrasts between ordinary surroundings and political or social subjects.

Humor, visual surprise, and concise storytelling are central to the practice. Works such as Flower Thrower turn an expected act of violence into a gesture of protest, while the placement of an image in a specific public space can become part of its meaning.
